The grass is growing slower, as November calls. The sun saunters softly down a year's dusty, tired halls. And the shadows start to crawl.

At the pinecone's passing, from the limb to the ground, where the days start sliding, a whispering watch is unwound. Where dusk can always be found.

Constellations stretch. Now the wind has her thorns. And the mushrooms doze while the tamarack is feeling forlorn. The tamarack is feeling forlorn.

A prophetic, prosthetic yellow. Distorted through some ocean glass. Like the skin of a serpent, we're leaving memories along the path. And they're left to the hourglass's wrath.

The breath of the morning holds fast and sharp in my lungs. And the notes hang sweetly when the end of the last song is sung. Taste the words still savory on your tongue.
